magic on sunday: different, not difficult

this sunday's note is short and sweet, but that’s not to diminish what i want to share with you as a new week rolls around.

i went to a marianne williamson talk on wednesday – you’ve probably read this quote of hers – and something she said on the topic of change and perception has wedged itself into the deep crevasses of my mind and won’t go away:

“it’s not difficult, but it’s different. nothing is difficult. what feels difficult is getting over our resistance to making a change. it’s just a different way of seeing things.”

that struck me as such a powerful notion – that our resistance to change is actually causing more difficulty than the change itself.
