magic on sunday: going slow

maybe it happened when i turned 30, but more and more, i’m noticing my need for slowness. i used to fight this because i wanted to squeeze the most out of every second, and i thought that slowing down meant missing out. i guess if i'm honest, i thought it was boring, really.
i’m finally realizing that that’s not actually the case. slowing down can still be energetic, but in a way that brings about ease. just look at the synonyms for slow:
unhurried, leisurely, relaxed, gentle, undemanding, comfortable
with the holiday weekend here, i’ve been honing slowness in ways that still feel fulfilling. i biked to the beach yesterday, i took a long walk around my neighborhood this morning, i passed time without an agenda.
this week’s playlist is the perfect energetic, unhurried mix to bring you through the short week ahead, while extending slow holiday weekend vibes.
