magic on sunday: human, again
it's crazy how all of a sudden winter feels so far away. my sleeping bag coat is still hanging on the hook near my front door because it’s only april and crazier things have happened, but if this weekend is any indication, i think i’m probably safe to put it in the back of my closet now.
tonight on an evening ice cream stroll with my buddy chad, he remarked that his mood was so much lighter thanks to the change in temperature, and how crazy it is that the simple transition can have such a big impact.
i was thinking the same thing as i reflected back on my weekend. i biked a ton, i walked all over the neighborhood, i did hot yoga, i went to the beach, i dined al fresco. in most of these instances i was drenched in sunshine, my body was moving, and the thought of the present was just so apparent.
as i’m laying in bed writing this (...and breaking my #1 writing rule), exhausted and sun kissed, i can’t help but feel like i was so truly myself this weekend. there’s something magic in me that feels the most human, the most me, and the most alive, when i’m running around and active outside under the springtime sun.
i'm chasing that feeling and ready for more.
