magic on sunday: my version of chill

the week ahead:
this is the first week of my adult life where i'm taking time off outside of company pto. sure, i've been on vacations, but it's always been while employed somewhere. even after college, i didn't take a break and started my internship at live nation within days of graduating. this upcoming week without employment responsibility is just a week, but it's a welcomed slice of zen nonetheless.
when i think about it, i guess it's hard for me to sit still. i don't like being idle, i hate monotony. life just feels more filling and fun whilst in the middle of all the action (even if i have to create it to a degree).
i'm starting this week on a train back to brooklyn from virginia where i did a lot of "nothing." i baked chocolate chip cookies from the recipe i know by heart, i grilled and sat by the fire, indulged in some wine, forced my parents to play 308021201 rounds of racko with me, but all-in-all, it was a steady 72 hours of chilling.
tomorrow i'm going to a day spa and tuesday i'm going hiking upstate, but other than that, i've got nothing planned for the week and i'm hoping to keep this chill thing going while infusing a bit of fun.
funemployment ends next monday, and until then, i've got my soundtrack.
